bougainvillea is a love letter. I attempt to be honest about how first love feels - to let myself be vulnerable and enjoy being in love, to be patient and learn how to best love myself and others, and to be joyful and curious through the process. The book was letterpress printed from polymer plates. There are pressed bougainvillea bracts, collected from my home in Kingston, Jamaica, nestled in the pages. Accompanying the book is an envelope made from my handmade paper containing polaroid-sized photos. The book and envelope are housed in an enclosure made of my handmade paper from hemp fibers.
